Krumme - Instagram feed design for a bakery


A series of Instagram post designs created for Krumme, an artisan bakery in Copenhagen, specializing in sourdough bread, specialty coffee, matcha, and all-day breakfast. The feed was designed as a coherent visual and editorial system where every post works as a standalone communication piece while collectively building a recognisable and inviting brand presence.


Concept


The design is grounded in the idea of a bakery as a daily ritual space rather than a purely transactional food venue. Instead of focusing only on product presentation, the communication builds atmosphere, curiosity, and familiarity - inviting the audience into the sensory world of freshly baked bread, morning routines, and slow café culture.


The tone of voice blends educational and emotional storytelling: from bread-making curiosities and fermentation facts, through product highlights, to breakfast culture and coffee rituals. Each post is designed to either inform, inspire, or trigger immediate appetite and visitation intent.


Content System


The feed is structured as a modular set of Instagram posts, where each format serves a distinct communicative role within the overall brand presence:

  • Brand Introduction - establishing Krumme as a bakery rooted in craftsmanship and Copenhagen café culture.

  • Slogan & Identity Posts - simple typographic compositions that reinforce memorability and tone of voice.

  • Educational Content - short insights about sourdough, fermentation, and grain types such as rye, wheat, and corn.

  • Product Highlights - showcasing artisan bread varieties in a visually structured, circular taxonomy system.

  • Breakfast Offering - presenting morning menu items as a lifestyle ritual rather than a standard food offer.

  • Coffee & Matcha Culture - positioning beverages as an essential part of the bakery experience.

  • Spec Sheets / Product Focus Posts - detailed breakdowns of individual products, such as corn bread.

  • Closing/Hook Posts - bold, typographic statements designed to create urgency and memorability (e.g. “Fresh at seven, gone by noon”).


Each post is designed to function independently as a social media asset while contributing to a unified feed composition that feels intentional, rhythmic, and editorial in character.



Visual Language


The visual system is built on a soft, editorial aesthetic combining cream-based backgrounds with coral accents, muted blues, and pastel pinks. This palette creates continuity across the feed while allowing individual posts to stand out through contrast and hierarchy.


Typography plays a key role in shaping the brand personality - expressive serif headlines are paired with clean grotesque type for informational content, creating a balance between warmth and clarity. Occasional cursive elements introduce a handcrafted, human touch that reflects the artisanal nature of the bakery.


Photography placeholders are integrated into the layouts as structured image zones, allowing food imagery to coexist seamlessly with typographic compositions without breaking the visual system.



The result is a cohesive Instagram feed that positions Krumme not only as a bakery, but as a carefully curated daily experience, where design, taste, and ritual intersect to create desire, recognition, and emotional connection.
